Then, I get the idea of a song's whole concept in my brain and I start writing. While I play the guitar on my front porch I begin writing, and words flow. The majority times, it's done in 30 minutes. Niykee continues to develop her skills as a poet and the lyricist. She says that the pain she experienced through the years has served as an infinite sources of inspiration. Although I don't write literally about things that have been a part of my life, all the pain of my childhood and the loss of my sister end up getting pushed into my lyrics, she says. The pain of losing my sister, and the memories of my childhood shapes the songs that I create. It is important for me to attach a profound meaning to everything I perform.
